On 20 September 2017, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk held One Day Volunteer for renovating Village Cisiram, for the third time. CAP employees act as volunteers to work on home renovation and village infrastructure construction. This time, the CSR team of PT SCG Indonesia participated, together with our volunteers, completed the last two houses out of a total of 22 renovated house. Renovation work has entered the final stage of painting, installation of paving blocks for roads, and foundation work for the Community Center.
On 16 September 2017, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk celebrated 25th Anniversary at Hotel Mambruk Anyer by having a festive celebration of employee gathering. On that joyous moment, all of Board Directors, Bapak Agus Salim Pangestu (Commissioners), and all employee were present to join the excitement. This employee gathering event was a grateful and nostalgic momentum of the Company's journey back in 25 years ago, until now as we became Indonesia’s Leading and Preferred Petrochemical Company. Under the anniversary tagline, “Terus Berkembang”, the Company achieved 25 years of excellence through hard work and dedication to serve the Nation.
Having concern on children education quality surround our operational area, on 11 September 2017, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk officially conducted groundbreaking to mark the beginning of Rebuilding Early Childhood Development (PAUD) Barokah 1 in Keluhahan Kepuh, Ciwandan, Cilegon. On this project, the Company is partnered with Happy Hearts Indonesia, a non-profit organization dedicated to rebuilding schools and helping people in need. Still at the same day, our employee came in groups to help with the construction work. This activity is one of educational development programs of the Company, for we were not only reconstructing the school building 1, but we also trained the teachers to improve the quality of knowledge transfer process to the children.
On 31 August 2017, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk has signed an EPC contract (engineering, procurement, and construction) with Toyo Engineering Group (TOYO) for the construction of a new Polyethylene (PE) plant facility which will be located in the Company's integrated Naphtha Cracker complex in Cilegon, Banten. This agreement was signed by Mr. Erwin Ciputra (President Director) and Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra (Vice President Director) on behalf the Company while TOYO-IKPT was represented by Mr. Tomohisa Abe (Director of Toyo Engineering Corporation Japan), Mr. Toru Osanai (President & CEO Toyo Engineering Korea Ltd), and Mr. Eiji Hosoi (President Director of IKPT). Prior to this award in September 2016, CAP has also signed a license agreement with Univation Technologies, LLC to use UNIPOLTM PE Process as the process technology for this new 400KTA PE plant. This plant, which is targeted to operate in 2020, will increase PE total production capacity from 336KTA to 736KTA.
On 21 July 2017, PT Styrindo Mono Indonesia, a subsidiary of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk, planted 10,000 mangrove seedlings in the coast of Karangantu, Banten Bay in the series of "Gebyar Gerakan Banten Bebersih", activity initiated by the Banten Provincial Government. The planting of 10,000 mangrove seedlings was attended by Mr. Wahidin Halim as the Governor of Banten, as well as his Deputy, Mr. Andika Hazrumy and SMI employee representatives. This activity begins with the signing of Environmental Services Cooperation between the Head of Environmental and Forestry Agency of Banten Province with SMI for Forum Komunikasi DAS Cidanau. The 5-year collaboration is expected to maintain the availability of water in the Cidanau River Basin to support the surrounding industry.
On 18 July 2017, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk was awarded the Best Corporations of Bank Indonesia's Statistics Respondents in the category of Best Contact Liaison from Bank Indonesia in the ceremony of Bank Indonesia Award 2017 in Jakarta. The Company was given the award because of it proactively provides statistical data in an accurate and timely manner, as BI's reference in making policies that support the stability and acceleration of national economic growth. This award was handed over directly by Bank Indonesia's Governor, Mr. Agus D.W. Martowardojo, to Mr. Erwin Ciputra as President Director of the Company.
On 16 June 2017, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk held Scholarship Awarding Ceremony of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Scholarship at the Head Office of the Company, Jakarta. This scholarship is granted for students in their senior year who demonstrate outstanding academic by considering the economic condition of their family. After going through a strict selection process last April, 10 students from Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Engineering Physics were eligible to receive the scholarship. Scholarship grantees are also given the opportunity to directly work in the Company after they graduate. Hopefully, this scholarship will be able to boost their learning spirit and also ease the economic load of their parents.
Aware of the increase in food prices ahead of Lebaran, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk held a Ramadhan Bazaar or Cheap Bazaar on 15 June 2017 at Cilodan Open Field, Ciwandan Subdistrict, Cilegon. In collaboration with its Partnering Organizations, this year the Company provides 3500 package of basic food for the community of Gunung Sugih Village, Anyer Village and Kosambironyok Village. The Company distributed the vouchers to 3500 underprivileged families so they could buy basic food packages at a price that is twice cheaper than they should.

On 2 May 2017, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk held Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the financial year of 2016 in Wisma Barito Pacific, Jakarta. In the Meeting, Shareholders of the Company have approved all agenda of the GMS, one of which were give ratifications and approval to the Company's Annual Report and Financial Statements for the financial year of 2016 and also approved the use of 50% of the Net Profit of 2016 as cash dividends totaling US$150,000,000 or in the amount of US$0.04563 per share which would be deducted by the interim dividend of US$0.01 per share which has been paid on 15 September 2016, as such the remaining in the amount of US$0.03562 per share will be paid to the Company's Shareholders on 23 May 2017.

On 5 April 2017, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia officially conduct groundbreaking to mark the beginning "Bedah Kampung" project in Cisiram Village. This ceremonies continued with voluntary work involves home renovations with volunteers who are employees of the Company. This event is a community development program with home renovations and development of sanitary facilities that are located in Cisiram Village, Anyer, Serang. Previously, MoU signing has been conducted in September 2016 for the project that will run for the next two years.

On March 23, 2017, PT Styrindo Mono Indonesia (SMI), a subsidiary of the Company, received TPM Excellence Award at the Kyoto International Conference Center in Kyoto, Japan. After passing the assessment phase of the TPM Excellence Award in 2016, JIPM officially announced that the SMI has the right to be awarded the TPM Excellence Award category A and be the first petrochemical company in Indonesia that managed to achieve the TPM Excellence Award. This award was received by representatives of the Management, Mr. Piboon Sirinantanakul, and the team from SMI. Furthermore, SMI will continue its preparation for Award for Excellence in Consistent TPM Commitment in 2019.
